As you can see, I make a lot of Devil’s Food cupcakes. I mean…a lot. And I always try to come up with new ways to frost and decorate them…as well as different flavor combos.
The picture on the left was the most recent version I made. This one was a “cookies and cream” version of the family Devil’s Food recipe I have. I simply added in Oreo cookie crumbles and mini chocolate chips to the batter and made a yummy cream cheese frosting. The frosting was tinted green and I used white and yellow edible pearls as this batch was making its way to a baby shower!
The picture on the right was for a friend’s birthday celebration. She loves Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, so not only did this version of the Devil’s Food cake have a peanut butter cup topper, it had a peanut butter cup baked inside as well. I whipped up an easy Peanut Butter Frosting to really amp up that peanut butter flavor.
